Issue 7 Submissions: CLOSED

Short story submissions for Issue 7 are now CLOSED! Thank you to everyone who submitted. We look forward to reading through your work and are excited to see what came in. Expect a decision within a couple weeks.

COVER ART SUBMISSIONS ARE STILL OPEN! Cover art submissions must be in by December 9th at 11:59pm CST. Artists will be compensated ($50 and a contributor copy). The artist retains rights to the art work and may use it how they please. We only buy the license to use it for our cover. In that vein, it can be a previously made work so long as it doesn’t have any other copyrights or licenses. We are not looking for fanart for our cover, however.

Thank you so much for your time and support!

Issue 6 Submissions: OPEN, Theme: CRYPTIDS

We are proud to announce that our sixth reading period is starting today! Unfading Daydream invites you to submit your speculative fiction short stories.

The theme for issue 6 is CRYPTIDS.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines the noun cryptid as “an animal whose existence or survival to the present day is disputed or unsubstantiated; any animal of interest to a cryptozoologist.” Authors do not need to use ‘traditional’ cryptids – you can make up your own. You can throw them into space opera or a fantasy setting. Surprise us, we look forward to reading your work!
