Unfading Daydream: Issue 3 is now here!

Apologies on how long its taken us to get this post up – things have been hectic this month for both editors. But here’s the post!

The third issue of Unfading Daydream contains eleven stories of fresh starts and renewals, whether they be good, bad, or otherwise.

Authors featured this month are Donovan Bertch, Alice Godwin, Gordon Grice, Tim Jeffreys, Cate Millican, A.L. Nachtman, Charlotte Platt, Stephen Paul Sayers, Fanni Suto, Michael Thomas, and Olin Wish.

Issue 3: SUBMISSIONS OPEN

Unfading Daydream is a literary magazine that strives to feature the genres that inspired us to start writing (science fiction, fantasy, horror, etc.). We want to showcase stories of all types – from romantic, to platonic – and especially ones featuring LGBTQ+ themes. Unfading Daydream will be published on a quarterly basis.

We are proud to announce that our second reading period is starting today! Unfading Daydream invites you to submit your speculative fiction short stories.

The theme for issue 3 is NEW BEGINNINGS.

You know, because the issue is coming out around the start of the new year. Interpret the theme in whatever way you see fit, stretch your imaginations! We look forward to seeing your submissions!

Basic Details:

• We are open to established and new, emerging authors.
• In terms of length, we’re looking for stories between 1000 and 7000 words. Shorter or longer stories will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
• No previously published works.
• No fanfiction please
• Reading periods are May, August, November, and February.
• All submissions must be in by 11:59pm CST on the last day of the reading period. In this case, all submissions must be in by 11:59pm CST on November 30th.
• Expect a decision within four weeks

While we are very new, we are offering monetary payment to those who we accept for publication. Stories that are between 1000-3000 words will receive $5. Stories that are longer than that will receive $10.  All contributors receive a hard copy of the magazine.
